Water Sampling
MTS is for water sampling which is critically important when a chain of custody is required for Government bodies such as Irish Water or HSE.
MTS provide a full suite of testing to accommodate the private sector while also servicing industries such as construction, manufacturing, local authorities, and group water schemes and many other businesses.
In April 2023 MTS gained certification from the INAB accreditation Board under ISO 17025 for microbiological testing in drinking water.
The state-of-the-art Microbiological Laboratory is based at our Head Quarters in Carlow and is fully equipped to determine the presence of bacteria in drinking water sources.
MTS is also certified for water sampling which is critically important when a chain of custody is required for Government bodies such as Irish Water or HSE. Combining our expertise in sampling through to the laboratory testing guarantees the quality of the sample is not directly or indirectly impacted, providing confidence in the results produced.
Regular Testing
The presence of bacteria in water sources can lead to severe illnesses and poor health conditions.
The HSE and the EPA advise that private wells are tested at least annually / after flooding / very heavy rainfall, for the presence of;
- E.coli
- Coliforms
- Clostridium
- and Enterococci bacteria
This is in order to ensure the water source is safe for consumption.
