With environmental considerations there is increasing need to improve sustainability. It is preferable to make use of existing resources. In the road construction industry one of the key resources now being used more and more is reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP).

To make the most of this potential, it is advisable to know the properties of the RAP by determining the binder grade, binder content, and particle size grading of the material.

MTS is accredited to recover the binder by the Rotary Evaporator Method in accordance with IS EN 12697-3 and the binder properties of penetration grade and softening point are then determined in accordance with IS EN 1426 and IS EN 1427.
